On Saturday 9th July 2022 Dave HB3YNL/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Piz de Groven and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 15 contacts in total working on the 15 and 10 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Piz de Groven is 2694 metres (8839 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
