The Po' Folks restaurant chain was founded in 1975. At one time the chain boasted over 100 locations in 17 states. In 1988 Po' Folks filed for bankruptcy. Today, there are five locations remaining, and all five locations are in Florida. The restaurants are located in Callaway, Lynn Haven, Niceville, Pensacola and St. Petersburg.
