On Sunday 31st March 2024 at 09:16 UTC, Ivo 9A1AA, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Zdenko OK1DOY/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PR Velký rybník (OKFF-1091), on the 40m amateur radio band. Zdenko made a total of 107 contacts while at the reserve.
PR Velký rybník (OKFF-1091)[Big pond], is a protected area of 103.7167 hectares lying to the north of Prague in the north of the Czech Republic. It was established in 1984 as a Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
