One of just three volcanic geological occurences of this type in New Hampshire. The Pawtuckaway Mountains were formed when an underground magma chamber's ceiling collapsed and magma pushed towards the surface in a circular manner. The result quite a few years later is kinda neat lookin' from overhead. Like the lake next to it, this is located within Pawtuckaway State Park.
