The ruin of Mount Strange at Hango Hill are all that remains of a 17th Century Summerhouse.

Hango Hill was for many years a place of execution and on 2 January 1663 was the site for the execution of Illiam Dhone. Illiam was shot for his role in Manx uprising against the Royalist Derby family who held the Isle of Man for the Crown at the time.
