On Tuesday 12th September 2023, Shin-Ichi JH3GBD, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Sanpouzan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 20 contacts in total working on the 40m and 15m amateur radio bands.
