On Friday 7h October 2022, Christian HB9GIN/P and Beni HB9HNT/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Schildplanggenstock/ Aprigenstock and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 28 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
