On Saturday 30th September 2023, Beni HB9HNT/P and Manuel HB9DQM/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland, reached the summit of Schlossberg/ Hinter Schloss and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 62 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m, 30m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Schlossberg/ Hinter Schloss is 3132 metres (10276 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
