On Sunday 11th September 2022, Jonathan KC1MXB, a radio amateur from Springvale, ME reached the summit of Snow Mtn. Big Island Pond and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 41 contacts in total working on the 40, 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Snow Mtn. Big Island Pond Is 1207 metres (3960 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
