On Tuesday 22nd November 2022, KN4CFT and KC4WXB, two US radio amateurs reached the summit of Sugar Run Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 14 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Sugar Run Mountain is 1246 metres (4088 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
