On Saturday 25th2022 Jonathan KC1MXB/P a radio amateur from Springvale, ME reached the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain and activated the summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Jonathan made 24 contacts in total working on 2 metres VHF and 20 and 30 metres HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Sugarloaf Mountain is 1295 metres (4249 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups data base.
