The Only Remains of the Meldreth Tramway

The Only Remains of the Meldreth Tramway (StreetView)
This is all that remains of a light railway track that ran for 1.5 miles (2.5km) between what is now Marley-Eternit to Whaddon and the Railway Goods Yard at Meldreth.

The tramway was powered by horses and later in 1928 replaced the horses with petrol driven trams.

When the tramway closed much of it was removed and not really any traces can be seen, but on Chiswick End in a residential area you can find a short section of cobblestone road with the single embedded in the road surface crossing the small dirt path residents use to access their houses.
