A vintage funny car is seen here at the 2014 Gopher State Timing Association Car Show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Tom Hoover raced the Showtime funny car for many years, winning five NHRA events and the 1976 AHRA championship. He spent much of the time on the match racing scene.
Hoover was elected to the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 2014.
