On Friday 26th May 2023, JA8XUB/1, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Toridaniyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 16 contacts in total working on the 70cm and 2m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Toridaniyama is 1718 metres (5636 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Toridaniyama is in the Tokyo Prefecture on Honshu Island.
