Built in 2014 to be used as a luxury retreat for wealthy Middle Easterners, Burj Al Babas is a complex of 732 identical French chateaux style homes, which were to be sold between $400,000 and $500,000 (USD). Developers claimed to have sold 587 of the homes, but were roughly 100 sales short, leaving them in debt. The developer has since gone bankrupt.

The property currently sits uninhabited.
