W. Mandeville

This bakery and grocers in the Cheshire village of Holmes Chapel was established in 1900 and remains owned and managed by members of the Mandeville Bakery.

W. Mandeville is today a rare surviving example of the many local bakeries which could be found in villages up and down the country for a large part of the 20th Century.

The shop sells craft baked good and local grocer product and has diversified into the provision of delicatessen items.

A recent claim to fame for W. Mandeville's is that the singer Harry Styles who grew up in Holmes Chapel used to work at the bakery on Saturday’s before he found fame with ‘One Direction’ which was formed when Harry was still only 16 years of age.
