On Thursday 12th October 2023, Gottfrieds OE7AGT/P, a radio amateur from Austria, reached the summit of Wannig and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 9 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
The summit of Wannig is 2493 metres (8179 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
