Balfarg Henge

Balfarg is a Neolithic henge located in the Scottish town of Glenrothes. The henge is located in the middle of a housing estate creating an open playing field. The circular inner ditches are clearly visible, the raised ground in the middle is also cleary visible and two standing stones remain today. One stone at the entrance and one stone that was part of the stone circle. Timber posts also mark the site of an original timber circle.

The development of a housing estate around the henge has been thoughtfully done leaving a pleasant park like atmosphere to the site.
