I believe my uncle was stationed there in the 1980s. So it may no longer be a US Base. The French Frigate through me for a loop so they might not be US boats. I posted this first. I am trying to verify where exactly he was stationed. |

I wonder how the ships were transported to that location. The picture in Microsoft's Live Maps only shows 1 ship which is in a different position or is another ship. Obviously, the images were taken at different times. |

That was not where my uncle was stationed. It was at one time (WWII) a NATO base. |
