Neolithic Long Barrow

Neolithic Long Barrow (Google Maps)
No Thumbnail
This long barrow dating back to the Neolithic era is thought to have been constructed between 3950 BC - 2801 BC. The long barrow lies in an overgrown patch of land beside what seems to be an old quarry. The stones that surround the long barrow still remain in place and intact. The dolmen seems to have collapsed with some traces still visible.

The long barrow is one of several in the Gundsømagle area. All dolmens and barrows are protected.
