The Chinese-based Genting Group has plans to build a new Asian themed resort complex on this property, formerly the Stardust Hotel, and briefly the Echelon, and will feature a Asianthemed shopping center, panda exhibit, outdoor amphitheater, over 3,000 rooms (in the first phase), and, of course, a casino, all at an estimated cost of $4B. The entire completed property will include over 6,500 rooms and could cost over $7B.
