The dolmen is located in the town of Rungsted just north of Copenhagen on the Danish island of Zealand. It dates back to the Neolithic era and is in quite a good condition. The capstone still stands erected on top of the carrier stones with the chamber exposed under it. The site sits on a small island of land between modern-day houses and roads.
The dolmen is thought to have constructed between 3950 BC - 2801 BC.
