Please don't feed the monster (Birds Eye)
In what may be one of the most depressing before and after scenes yet, cycle through the various compass points, and you will see an entire fleet of classic transports (Lockheed Electras) turned into nothing more than metal shavings by this monster and its voracious appetite. Gone forever.

Those aren't C-118's. They're mostly Lockheed Electras, formerly operated by Zantop International Airways. There are two DC-6's (C-118's in the picture) as well as a DeHavilland Caribou and what looks like a Twin Beech. Anything with a Red Stripe is an Electra.

The Caribou was not scrapped, but was donated to the Yankee Air Museum where it underwent a modest restoration and repainting. It is currently on display in the airpark on the other side of the field from where this picture was taken.
