A life-sized cardboard cutout of Washington Capitals winger Alexander Ovechkin (born September 17, 1985) is seen in the huge Pro Hockey Life store.
Ovechkin was the first overall pick in the 2004 NHL draft. He has played for Washington since making his NHL debut in 2005. In his first seven NHL seasons, he has won numerous awards, including the Calder Trophy (rookie of the year) and two Hart Trophies (league MVP). His career peaked in 2007-08, when he managed 65 goals and 47 assists to lead the league in scoring.
