On Wednesday 2nd August 2023, Shin-Ichi JH3GBD/0, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Amidadake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 18 contacts in total working on the 40m, 15m and 10m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Amidadake is 2805 metres (9203 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Amidadake is in the Nagano Prefecture on Honshu Island.
