On Saturday 1st June 2024, Funio JH0NAW a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Ariakeyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 11 contacts in total working on the 23cm and 70cm amateur radio bands.
The summit of Ariakeyama is 2283 metres (7490 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Ariakeyama is in the Nagano Prefecture on Honshu Island.
