On Monday 23rd October 2023, Clarence KK7LAE, a radio amateur from Lindon, UT reached the summit of Barney Top and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 30 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
The summit of Barney Top is 3237 metres (10620 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
