On Friday 31st March 2023, Compton VK2HRX, a radio amateur from the state of New South Wales reached the summit of Blue Rag Range and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 21 contacts in total working on the 23cm, 2m and 40m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Blue Rag Range is 1717 metres (5633 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
