The Farnworth Carnegie Library on Market Street in Farnworth was designed by the architects Bradshaw and Glass of Bolton.
The building opened in 1911 and today is a Grade II Listed Building (National Heritage List for England Entry Number 1113256). It is one of a small group of civic buildings at the heart of the former Farnworth Urban District.
There is a stone panel on the front elevation of the building with the inscription ‘CARNEGIE LIBRARY’.
