On Thursday 6th July 2023, Kiril LZ1EEA/P, a radio amateur from Bulgaria reached the summit of Chengelchal and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 14 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
The summit of Chengelchal is 2709 metres (8888 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
