On Wednesday 10th August 2022, Carine HB9FZC/P and Rene HB9NBG/P two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Chilchalphorn and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 20 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
