On Monday 8th August 2022 Carine HB9FZC/P and Rene HB9NBGP two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Frunthorn and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 58 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit Frunthorn is 3030 metres (9941 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
