On Thursday 11th August 2022, Carine HB9FZC/P and Rene HB9NBG/P two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Faltschonhorn and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 52 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit Faltschonhorn is 3022 metres (9915 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
