On Friday 8th September 2023, Colm EI9KY/P, a radio amateur from Waterford, Ireland reached the summit of Cnoc na Peiste and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 17 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Cnoc na Peiste is 985 metres (3232 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
