On Thursday 7th September 2023, Colm EI9KY/P, a radio amateur from Waterford, Ireland reached the summit of Mangerton and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 18 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mangerton is 838 metres (2749 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
