On Friday 1st September 2023, Tak 7M4QZE/0, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Dainichidake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 22 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m and 15m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Dainichidake is 2128 metres (6982 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Dainichidake is in the Niigata Prefecture on Honshu Island.
