On Saturday 30th July 2022 Chris F/HB9CYV/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Haut du Rouge Gazon and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 48 contacts in total working on the 60, 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Haut du Rouge Gazon is 1108 metres (3635 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
