On Sunday 14th August 2022, Daniel OE5HDX/P a radio amateur from Austria reached the summit of Hoher Dachstein and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 33 contacts in total working on 2 metre VHF and 20 metre amateur radio bands.
The summit of Hoher Dachstein is 2995 metres (9826 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
