On Saturday 24th June 2023, 7L1WCX/0 and JA1DFO/0, two radio amateurs from Japan reached the summit of Iriyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 19 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 40m and 15m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Iriyama is 1626 metres (5335 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Iriyama is in Nagano Prefecture on Honshu Island.
