On Sunday 26th June 2022 Yasu JA5QJX/0 a radio amateur from Aokijima-cyo, Nagano-city, reached the summit of Hachibuseyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Yasu made 15 contacts in total working on UHF, VHF and HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Hachibuseyama is 1929 metres (6329 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups data base.
