On Saturday 22nd October 2022, 7L1WCX/1 and JA1DFO/0, two radio amateurs from Japan reached the summit of Toyamine and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 32 contacts in total working on the 70cm UHF and 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Toyamine is 1629 metres (6007 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
Toyamine is in the Nagano Prefecture on Honshu Island.
