On Saturday 3rd December 2022, Dom EI5IAB/P, a radio amateur from County Dublin, Ireland reached the summit of Kippure and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 7 contacts in total working on the 2 and 4 metre amateur radio bands.
The summit of Kippure is 757 metres (2484 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
