On Sunday 10th July 2022 Alex EI4JY/P a radio amateur from Co. Wicklow reached the summit of Mullaghcleevaun and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 10 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Mullaghcleevaun is 849 metres (2785 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
