On Thursday 18th August 2022, Katsu JP3DGT/0 a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Kirigamine (Kurumayama) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 18 contacts in total working on the 70 cm UHF and the 40, 30, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Kirigamine (Kurumayama) is 1925 metres (6316 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
