On Wednesday 23rd August 2023, Frank F4JYM/P, a radio amateur from France, reached the summit of Le Trou de l'Aigle and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 19 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Le Trou de l'Aigle is 2961 metres (9715 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
