On Saturday 17th December 2022, Leo NE2P, a radio amateur from Johnson City, TN reached the summit of Little Rock Knob and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 24 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 60, 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Little Rock Knob is 1506 metres (4941 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
