On Monday 15th April 2024, Joseph KM4YKK, a radio amateur from Dallas, NC reached the summit of Little Yellow Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 5 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m and 10m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Little Yellow Mountain is 1678 metres (5505 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
