On Monday 24th July 2023, Ioan YO5IA/P & Mihaela YO5MCM/P, a couple of radio amateurs from Romania, reached the summit of Ludișoru and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 34 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m and 15m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Ludișoru is 2321 metres (7615 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
