On Sunday 24th September 2023, Takeshi JK1VUZ/5, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Miune and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 29 contacts in total working on the 23cm, 70cm and 15m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Miune is 1893 metres (6211 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Miune is in the Tokushima Prefecture on Sikoku Island.
