On Sunday 7th August 2022 Seiji JG4LCS/5 a radio amateurs from Japan reached the summit of Tsurugisan (Maruzasayama) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 24 contacts in total working on the 23 cm, 70 cm and the 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Tsurugisan (Maruzasayama) is 1712 metres (5617 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
